NYLT -National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide all 13- to 20-year-old youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home units and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others

Each troop may only register TWO Scouts prior to June 1 and that all other Scouts from that troop will be placed on a waiting list.  Spots reserved prior to June 1 must be paid for by June 1. After June 1, all available spots, including any unpaid spots, will open up to the Scouts on the waiting list. Scouts need to have the approval of their unit leader to register and attend

WHAT is it? National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is a week long, intense, co-ed leadership training course. Participants will learn the fundamentals of good leadership: communication, planning, leading, and teaching skills through presentations, games, and team-building activities. NYLT goes beyond unit level training and courses such as ILSC, ILST, or ILSS (Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews/Troops/Ships).

WHEN is it? Sunday, 5 August 2018 (11:30 a.m.) – Saturday, 11 August 2018 (11 a.m.) at Camp Nooteeming, Scout Road, Salt Point, NY 12578

WHO can go? Scouts must be First Class Rank and at least 13 years of age; Sea Scouts and Venturers must be at least 14 years of age; males AND females can go! Units should send Scouts are currently in leadership positions or soon will be, and who they believe will benefit from the course.
