Unique course offering! The National Chairman of Scoutbook will be a guest instructor at this year's University. He'll be teaching 2 classes, twice during the day. These courses are likely to be a one-time offering. They're available for both youth and adults and are not part affiliated with any of our other program tracks. (It's like a free elective at school!) NTL01 is a preqequisite for NTL02. When he's not teaching, he'll be fielding your questions in our University Midway. Be sure to visit during your lunch period.

  • NTL01 Introduction to Scoutbook (periods 1 and 6)
  • NTL02 Advanced Scoutbook (periods 2 and 7, NTL01 is a prerequisite)

Mammal Study Merit Badge - Prerequisites for the Mammal Study Merit Badge are:

  • Review merit badge booklet before the class
  • Print out merit badge worksheet: http://usscouts.org/usscouts/mb/worksheets/Mammal-Study.docx
  • Do 4b - take at least 6 different pictures (3 pictures for each of 2 different mammals). Bring to class and discuss details as per the requirements
  • Do 5 - Considering there has been a decline in bats over the last several years, we will make bat houses.  se the attached plan to create your bat house.

NEW! BOY26 Hornaday Opportunity - The Hornaday Awards are one of the least frequently earned awards in Scouting.  They are known as “the Olympic Medal Bestowed Upon the Earth”.  There are three levels of the awards: the badge, Bronze Medal and Silver Medal.  Find out how you can earn one of these prestigious awards.
