This event is open to ALL Units in the Hudson Valley Council

• Adult classes are open to all age 18 and up
• Youth Leadership College Classes and Den Chief Training are open to all youth 11-18
• Venturing Youth Classes are open to all youth age 11-21

Unit Commissioner Basic Training is being offered two separate ways.

• A course as part of the University of Scouting.  – This option allows you to also take other University courses during periods 5-7.  Additionally you also get to experience the fellowship, fun, food, and receive any University giveaways. For this option you need to register here and you will have to pay the University fee.

• A stand-alone class.  This includes only the class itself at no charge.  You will just be taking the class and not participating in any other UOS activities, which means you will not be receiving any food or University giveaways.  For this option there is no fee and can be found here: http://www.hudsonvalleyscouting.org/event/unit-commissioner-basic-training/2571861

HVC University of Scouting Degree Program: If you’re interested in a degree, the University of Scouting offers a degree program & provide Scouters a structured program in which they can advance and be rewarded with degrees and titles for each level of achievement. The atmosphere is one of fun and fellowship, but there's also an attitude of respect for the importance of the event. The University of Scouting offers Associate, Bachelor, and Master Degrees. It also offers a Certificate of Post-Graduate Studies. There is also a Doctor of Scouting (PHD) Degree.
